Introduction
AORTAN (Association of Overseas Residents of Tamil Nadu) was founded to give Tamil families who have settled in the UK a home away from home. Since 2009 we have organised the annual Pongal / Thamizhar Thirunal celebration along with smaller gatherings throughout the year, giving members a place to celebrate festivals, share food, and pass Tamil traditions on to the next generation.
Membership is open to anyone with a connection to Tamil Nadu, and to anyone who simply loves Tamil culture and wants to join in.
